On Christmas Eve—the night before Christmas Day children are very happy. They put their stockings at the end of their beds before they go to bed. They want Father Christmas to give them some presents.

Mr Green tells his children that Father Christmas is a very kind man. He comes on Christmas Eve. He lands on top of each house and comes down the chimney into the fireplace and brings them a lot of presents.

Christmas Day always begins before breakfast. The children wake up very early. They can’t wait to open the presents in their stockings. Then they wake up their parents and say: Merry Christmas!

Do you know what Christmas means? Christmas Day is the birthday of Jesus Christ. When Christ was born, many people gave him presents. So today, people still do the same thing to each other.

Hello, friends! I’m Lisa. I am a clever girl. I have many friends and they’re my classmates. Today is May Day. And it’s my birthday, too. I get up early and clean my room. I invite my friends Amy, Joy and Sarah to my home. We have a birthday party. We can sing and dance. We can eat a big birthday cake. I know Amy’s birthday is in next month. Mr White is a doctor and Mrs White is a nurse. They work in the same hospital. They are both busy. They have a white car. So they go to work by car.

One day Mr and Mrs White go shopping by car. They stop their car near a store. They buy a lot of things and they want to put the things in the car. But Mr White can’t open the door of the car, so they ask a policeman to help them. The policeman is very friendly to help them. Just then a man comes up and shouts, “What are you doing with my car?”

Mr and Mrs White take a look at the car’s number and they are frozen(惊呆了) there. It isn’t their car.

The Spring Festival is a big festival in China. Before the day of the festival, people(人们) do shopping and cleaning. At the Spring Festival, people buy flowers and put them in their houses. They have a big family reunion dinner. And the children get red packets from the older people. They light firecrackers and have great fun. When people meet, they say: “Happy Spring Festival!” to each other.

I went to Beijing last summer holiday. There were many museums. I went to an art museum. It was very interesting. I went to a film museum. I learnt some knowledge about films. I was excited. I went to an insect museum. I saw ants, bees, butterflies and other insects. Some of them were beautiful, but some were very ugly. I also went to a science museum. I learnt a lot.

I had a good time. I love museums.

It’s Sunday today. We are playing in the park. John is playing football with Sam. Amy is playing chess with Lucy. Mike is rowing a boat. Look at those men under the tree! They’re doing taijiquan. Ms Smart is reading a book. A little boy is playing with a toy train. He is Sam’s brother Tom.
