My name is Mike. I get up at 8:00 on the weekend. I do my homework at 8:30. I watch TV at 12:00. I go shopping(购物) with my mother at 15:00. I play computer games(玩游戏) at 19:00. I go to bed at 21:00.

John is a doctor. He likes playing football and he can play very well. He likes to help people, so he has many friends. He usually plays football with his friends on Sunday afternoons. Today is his birthday. There is a party in his house. John’s friends are all in the living room. They are watching a football match on TV. John is in the kitchen now. He is cooking delicious(美味的) food for his friends. He likes cooking and he is good at it.

I’m Linda. I’m from Australia. I have a sweet family. It is not very big. We live together with my grandmother. She is a farmer. She grows lots of grapes. She likes grapes very much. My parents are workers. They make many nice toys for children. I have a little brother, John. We study in the same school.

We live in an old house. There is a beautiful park near our house. We usually take a walk in the park after dinner.

There is an old woman in England. She doesn’t like children, but she loves cats. She has black cats and white cats. She has mother cats and baby cats. So the children like to come to her house. They come to play with the cats. More and more(越来越多) cats come to the old woman’s house. Then there are too many cats and the old woman can’t feed(饲养) them. The she has an idea. “The children love my cats,” she thinks. So she gives the cats to the children. Then she is happy. They children are happy too. And the cats are happy too. They all have a home.

Mike likes collecting stamps(邮票). He has many stamps of animals. Many of Mike’s stamps are from China. He has a lot of friends in China. Mike sometimes exchange(交换) stamps with his friends. John is Mike’s friend. He likes collecting stamps too. His stamps are pretty and colourful. John and Mike meet every Sunday. They show each other their new stamps.

It is Christmas Eve, and there is a big party in the house. Then the bell rings. Some people shout, “Come in!” And a small man opens the front door and comes in. Nobody knows him, but the host(主人) goes to meet him and takes him to the table to have a drink. The man sits there happily for an hour and drinks. Then he says, “Do you know nobody invited me to this party? I don’t know you and your guests. My wife and I want to go out in our car, but one of your guests’ car is in front of our gates, so I come here to find him, and my wife is waiting for me in our car to go back! But, thank you for your drinks!”

Mary and Mia are twins. They are 12 years old. They look the same. But they have different hobbies. Mary likes collecting stamps. She has many beautiful stamps. They are from different cities and countries. But Mia likes growing flowers. The flowers are all very beautiful. Mary and Mia both like reading books. Mary likes reading storybooks, but Mia likes reading science books. On Sundays, they usually ride bikes to the park. They can play with their friends there. Sometimes their parents go there too.
