Lucy and Lily are sisters. They are in the same school, but they are in different classes. They always get up at 6 o’clock in the morning. Their home is near their school. Lucy often walks to school. Lily often goes by bike. They like playing sports. After school, Lucy usually plays tennis with her friends on the playground. Lily often play ping-pong with her friends. Sometimes they play together. Then they go home together. They have dinner at home. They both like fruit and vegetables. They are very healthy.

Mr. Black is a very fat man. He always gets up very late in the morning. He never eats breakfast. After he gets up, he sits in a chair and watches TV for about two hours. Then he eats fast food for lunch. Next he surfs the Internet and plays computer games in the afternoon. In the evening, he drives to buy some ice cream and cake for dinner. He never goes to bed before 2 o’clock in the morning.

Yesterday afternoon, I was in a supermarket and waited in line to pay(支付) for my things. The line was long and I looked around. At that time, I found an old woman, about eighty years old, standing in another line. She was at the end of the line. So I went to her and told her to take my place. At first, she didn’t accept(接受) my help and said, “Oh, dear! It’s a long line. I don’t want to trouble(麻烦) you.” I said, “Don’t worry. It is not a problem for me.” Then she thanked me and I helped her to my place. Many people in the line watched me with praise in their eyes. I was very happy yesterday.

Our eyes are very important to us. They are like cameras (照相机). We can see beautiful things and colours around us with our eyes. But if we don’t take care of them, they may hurt. How do we protect (保护) our eyes?

On sunny days, we had better wear our sunglasses. When we read, we should not stay too close to our books and the light should not be too bright (明亮的) or too dark (黑暗的). We must not read in bed. It is bad for our eyes. We can’t read books in a bus or play games on computer too long.

We should do everything to protect our eyes.
