Farmer Jack and the Donkey (驴)
Farmer Jack had a donkey. He made the donkey carry heavy things every day. When the donkey was too tired to go fast, Farmer Jack hit him.
The donkey worked hard, but Farmer Jack did not give him enough food to eat. He put him in a small and cold place at night.
One day, a robber (强盗) came. Farmer Jack said to the donkey," Run away as fast as you can."
The donkey did not run. He asked Farmer Jack, "Who won't give me enough food to eat? Who will put heavy things on my back? Who will make me stay in the cold wind outside at night?"
"Nobody," said Farmer Jack.
"Then why should I run away?" asked the donkey.
Farmer Jack understood. He hugged (拥抱) his donkey and said, "I'm very sorry, my donkey."
