Welcome to Toy Museum

I’m Lingling. I study in Jinhai School. This year I have three new teachers. Miss Zhang is my English teacher. She is tall and young. She is beautiful. She is kind. She likes us and we all like her. Mr.Wang is my maths teacher. He is old. His nose is big. He is serious. Mr. Liu is my art teacher. He has short hair. He likes drawing pictures. He can draw nice pictures.

My name is Li Hua. I am eleven years old. I often get up at 6:50 and then have breakfast. I think breakfast is very important for us, so I usually have an egg, some milk and bread for breakfast. At 7:30, I go to school by bus. In my school, there are four lessons in the morning. I often have lunch at school. For lunch, I would like some rice, soup, meat and vegetables. In the afternoon, there are only two lessons. After school, I do my homework first. Then I help my mum and dad to cook dinner. At 19 o’clock, we sit together and have dinner. We usually have some fish, rice and vegetables.

Chinese New Year is the most important festival for Chinese people. Before it, people usually clean their houses, and buy some new clothes and food. On Chinese New Year’s Eve, people cook nice food and the whole family have a big dinner together. On the first day of Chinese New Year, there is no sweeping because people think it will sweep their good luck.

And people often go to visit their friends and relatives. They say “Happy New Year” and some other greetings to each other. Children can get some red packets from their parents and relatives. People usually have a very good time.

I have four good friends. They are Tim, Mike, Amy and Jenny. They have different hobbies. Guess! What are my friends’ hobbies?

One of them can sing very well. One likes making model planes. One is good at playing football and one likes riding a bike. Tim and Amy don’t like making model planes. Jenny and Amy don’t like singing. Mike and Jenny can’t ride a bike or play football. Tim isn’t good at singing or riding a bike.

Lin Xuan lives in Shenzhen with his parents. He’s a primary school student. He usually goes to school by bus on sunny days. On rainy days, he goes to school by car. Xu Feng is Lin Xuan’s cousin. He lives in Shanghai. He’s also a primary school student. He always goes to school by subway.

Today is Saturday. Lin Xuan has no classes. He wants to send a letter to Xu Feng. He will go to the post office by subway this afternoon.

Double-decker first appeared(出现) in London in 1956. This kind of bus has two floors. People can see it on the streets of London today. We can also find the double-decker in China. Many people like it.

There are lots of yellow taxis on the streets of New York. They transport(运送) busy people to the place they want to go.

The most special way in the water city, Venice, is a small boat called “gondola” It looks like a banana. People use it every day and visitors from other countries like to travel by boat.

In Thailand, there is a kind of cute car, and its name is Tuk-tuk It is a car with two or three wheels(轮子). It is also popular in other countries of southeast Asia.
