There are forty - two students in our class. There is one American boy. His name is Jack. He is our good friend. He likes watching TV, but he doesn’t like playing football. He often goes to school by bike. His father is a fisherman. He works at sea and works hard every day. There is also one English girl in our class. Her name is Amy. She likes doing kung fu and swimming. Her mother is a worker. She works in a big shoe factory and she goes to work on foot. Amy is going to Hainan this weekend. She is very happy. All of the Chinese students are young pioneers.

Many English people have three names, first name, middle name and a last name(or a family name). For example, my name is James Allen Green. James is my first name. Allen is my middle name. Green is my last name. People don’t use Mr, Mrs, Ms or Miss before their first names. They use them before their family names.

But in China, people use Mr, Mrs, Ms or Miss before their first names. Because the first name is their family name. For example, my name is Lin Tao. “Lin” is my family name, and “Tao” is my given name.

Students in schools now have at least one labor(劳动) class a week. They learn to cook dishes, plant vegetables, look after animals or wash vegetables. Do they like the labor classes? Let’s take a look.

I like labor classes. We have one labor class a week. Our teacher teaches us to cook. Now, I can cook many dishes. It’s great for us to cook. We’re helpful at home.

Labor class is so much fun! I like to do housework at home. I often clean the bedroom and wash the clothes. Sometimes I water the flowers, too. I can help my mother a lot. She is happy.

I have some small chicks at home. 1 know how to take care of them. I make a warm house for them and clean it. I feed the chicks every day. It’s fun.

Eating the right food can help us stay(保持) healthy. Rice and bread give us energy(能量). Fruits and vegetables are good for us. But candies and chocolates are not, because they have lots of fat and sugar. Some food like ice cream is not healthy, but it’s OK to eat once or twice a week. Some food like meat is healthy, but eating too much is not good for us. How to eat well? Here is the food pyramid(食物金字塔) for adults(成年人) and children aged five and over.

Yesterday was Children’s Day. Kim and her sisters had a pajama(睡衣) party at home. It was nine o'clock. Mum said, “It’s time for bed, children.” But the children couldn’t sleep. Kim wanted a story. So Mum read a story about bears for her. Linda was hungry. Mum made a small sandwich. Emma wanted a pillow fight(枕头大战). So Mum played the game with the children for half an hour. Then the children went to bed. The room was in a mess(杂乱). Kim's dad came home. “Was everyone good on Children’s Day?” asked Dad. “Yes and no.”Mum answered. “Have a rest. I will clean the room.” said Dad.

I got a postcard from China on my birthday. It is very beautiful. The postcard is about the Great Wall. It’s from my pen friend Daming. The Great Wall is very famous in the world. When I was five years old，I went to China with my parents and I visited the Great Wall. Now I think it is more beautiful than before. The Great Wall is more than twenty thousand kilometres long. People from all over the world go to China to visit it. I want to visit the Great Wall again.

I have a happy family(家庭). My father is a policeman(警察). He is tall. He likes to play basketball(篮球). My mother is a teacher. She likes to watch TV and read books. I am a student. I am a boy. I am short. We like to eat noodles(面条). We are a happy family.
