Hello, everyone. I’m Bill. I’m now at school in America. From Monday to Friday, I usually get up at seven. After breakfast at about seven fifty, I go to school. I get to school at about half past eight. Then I put my schoolbag in my locker(储物柜) and only take a book, a notebook and a pencil to each class.

At noon I have lunch at school. After lunch I don’t have time to have a short sleep. I have classes in the afternoon until(直到) three o’clock. Then I go home.

I usually play sports or watch TV before dinner. I have dinner at six in the evening. After that I do my homework. Sometimes I go for a walk with my parents.

On Saturday I often go shopping, visit my grandparents or go to a park with my parents. And on Sunday I go to a library with my parents in the morning and have a big meal at one ’clock in the afternoon.

Mrs. Jones is an American doctor. She is now in China. She works in a Children’s Hospital in Shanghai. She likes the children and she likes to work for children. She works hard in the day time and learns Chinese in an evening school. She also (也) learns Chinese from the Chinese doctors and her Chinese friends. Now she can speak some Chinese. She can read and write some Chinese, too. She says it’s not easy to learn Chinese well. Mr. Jones, her husband (丈夫) is a teacher . He teaches English in the No.5 Middle (中间的) School. He works from Monday to (从……到……) Friday. He teaches 3 classes every day.

Bruce Smith and his family's hobby is camping (野营). They often spend (度过) their Saturdays and Sundays like this. The children, Daniel and Lucy, like going fishing with their father. Sometimes they go swimming in the sea or go boating on the river. Mrs Smith likes drawing beautiful places. She often draws well with her brushes.

Then Mr Smith buys a big car. It is like a house. It has beds for four people, a living room, a place for cooking and a bathroom. Mrs Smith and the children are very happy.

San Francisco is a beautiful American city. It lies in the west of the United States. It has beautiful scenery. For example, Fisherman's Wharf（渔人码头）and Wax Museum（蜡像馆）are beautiful places to visit. Every day, thousands of people come to visit and take photos.

San Francisco is a hilly city. The lovely hills in the middle of the city make it the most wonderful place. Many people walk up and down the hills, and some of the visitors also like to drive on the paths. They can see more places then. There are also visitors who like to take cable cars（缆车）. They can get better view of the city.

Besides Fisherman's Wharf and Wax Museum, Chinatown and Lombard Street are also two places worth seeing. Every day, many people come to visit Chinatown. Some of them are coming to taste Chinese food, some are coming for Chinese shops. They can buy many beautiful Chinese clothes in Chinatown.

It was Saturday yesterday. The Browns were at home. Mrs Brown was in the kitchen. She made some apple juice and chicken for lunch. The chicken was very delicious(美味的). Mr Brown wasn’t in the living room. He was outside. He cleaned his car. The car was new and very beautiful. Jim was in the garden. He played football with some friends. Where was his sister, Sue? She was in her bedroom with her friend, Ann. They studied math together(一起). They’re going to take a math test next Monday.

My name is Emily. I am a student at a primary school. My school is not big but beautiful. There are 54 classrooms in our school. My classroom is on the first floor. In my class, I have a good friend. Her name is Alice. We have many hobbies. I like flying kites in spring and making snowmen in winter. She likes flying kites. But she doesn't like making snowmen. She likes having picnics. I usually fly kites with her in the park on Sunday.

Every day we eat a lot of food. A healthy diet is good for us. But people in different countries eat different kinds of food. My friend Peter is from America and he tells me a lot about food in America. Most Chinese people like to eat pork(猪肉). But in America beef(牛肉) is more popular(受欢迎). We often have rice or noodles at every meal. But Americans may think hamburgers and fruit pies are more delicious(美味). Chinese children like to eat ice creams in summer. But Americans nearly eat them every meal. Americans like sweet food very much, just like cakes, ice creams, chocolate and so on.

The stars we see at night are really huge like our sun, but they are much farther away in space. Some of them have planets(行星)like our earth travelling around them.

The stars are so hot that they give off great light and heat--more than the hottest, brightest fire you can imagine(想象). As we all know, light travels at the speed of 300, 000 kilometres per second. But the stars are so far away that their lights still take years to reach us. The light we see coming from some far-off stars started for the earth more than a hundred years ago.

The moon is a ball of cold rock. It is smaller than the earth. It circles round(环绕)the earth as the earth circles round the sun. The whole journey(旅程)of the moon round the earth takes twenty-eight days. We see it changing from new moon to half to full and back to new moon every twenty-eight days. Our word "month" comes from the word "moon".

In the morning, Mr. Brown goes to work and the children go to school. Their father takes them to school every day.

Mrs. Brown stays at home every day. She does the housework. She always eats her lunch at noon. In the afternoon, she usually sees her friends. They often drink tea together.

In the evening, the children come home from school. They arrive home early. Mr. Brown comes home from work. He arrives home late.

At night, the children always do their homework. Then they go to bed. Mr. Brown usually reads his newspaper, but sometimes he and his wife watch television.
