The messages travel around the world very quickly. People also send text messages on their phones (电话). It's very fast, too.

Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy (富有) and wise. This is an old English saying. Have you heard of it before? It means that we must go to bed early at night and get up early in the morning. Then we can be healthy. We shall also be rich and clever.

This is true. The body must have enough sleep to be healthy. Children of young age should have ten hours' sleep every night. If children do not have enough sleep, they cannot do their work very well. They will not be wise and they may not become wealthy!

The body also needs exercise. Walking, running, jumping, swimming and playing games are all exercise. Exercise keeps the body strong. Exercise also helps the blood (血液) to move around inside the body. This is very important. Our blood takes food to all parts of our bodies. The head also needs blood. Exercise helps us to think better!

Hi, I’m Cathy. Last summer holiday, I went to a beautiful village with my grandparents. There were so many trees and flowers. The air was fresh. The river was clean. There were lots of fish in the river. I went fishing with my grandpa in the afternoon. In the evening, I could see so many stars in the sky. There were nice vegetables there. I enjoyed myself.

It's small and green. It's so lovely. I water it again and put it in the sun. Today is April 15th. My plant(植物) has two green leaves. I water it every day and make sure it gets lots of sun. Today is May 1st. My plant is one month old! It's tall and strong, but it has no flowers. Oh, come on! I can’t wait!

I have many new friends in my school now.   They are very kind.   I have many classes in the morning.   At noon, I go to the canteen to have lunch. We usually don’t have any classes in the afternoon and in the evening.   So I often go to the school library and read many books.   There is a beautiful garden in our school.   At weekends, I usually go to the park.
