Gu Ailing (Eileen Gu) is a freeskier with an American father and a Chinese mother. She grew up and still lives in the United States, but in June 2019, she became a Chinese citizen. When Gu Ailing was three years old in 2006, she started to learn skiing. At the age of nine, she could ski well and started to win gold medals (金牌). She won two gold medals and a silver medal for our country in the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
Gu Ailing was hard-working at school. She was a grade-A student and good at her schoolwork. When she was young, she visited Beijing every summer holiday with her mother. She often played with Chinese children. She had a good time.
