One morning, Mr Green is driving around the country and looking for a bookshop. When he sees an old man on the other side of the road, he stops his car and says to the old man, “Excuse me. I want to go to the Sun Bookshop. Do you know it?” “Sure,” the old man answers. “I will show you the way.” He gets into Mr Green’s car, and they drive about twelve miles (英里) when they come to a small house, “Right,” the old man says. “This is my house. And now I’ll show you the way to the bookshop. Turn around and go back nine miles. Then you’ll see the bookshop.”

It is a nice day. Our class has a field trip today. We are very excited. In the park, the trees are green and the flowers are blooming. Some birds are singing and dancing in the trees. Some bees and butterflies are busy flying and dancing in the flowers. Look! Amy is watching insects (昆虫) and Peter is collecting leaves. They want to write a report (报告). The teacher is sitting on the chairs, talking and laughing happily. Some boys are running around the flowers. How happy we are! We are having a good time.

Mrs White is a housewife. She is always busy in the morning. She gets up early and cooks breakfast. She has two children, Leo and May. Leo is ten years old and May is eight years old. They live near the sea and they can get fish easily. In the UK, people eat a lot of potatoes. They can cook potatoes in many different ways.

Some people only eat fruit and vegetables. They don’t eat fish, meat or any other food from animals. They only eat food from plants. Thy think food from plants is healthy. These people are vegetarians.
