Little Tom asked his mother for two cents. “I gave you one cent yesterday. What did you do with it?”
“I gave it to an old woman,” he said. “You're a good boy,” said the mother proudly(骄做地). “Here are two cents. But why are you so interested in the old woman?” “Because she is the one who sells(卖) the candy,” the boy said.
