Do you know what the largest (最大的) animal in the world is? The largest animal in the world lives in the sea. It is the blue whale (蓝鲸). It can be over 30 metres long. A blue whale can weigh more than 150 tons, which is heavier than 30 elephants.
The blue whale doesn't eat big fish. It feeds on tiny creatures (小生物) like shrimps (虾).
People killed (杀害) the blue whales for their meat and oil in the past. Now nobody is allowed to kill the blue whales.
