On Saturday, I go to a supermarket with my mother by bus. It is very big. It has a clothes shop, a fruit shop, a toy shop and a vegetable shop. First we go to the clothes shop. My mother buys a nice sweater. She likes it very much. She buys a cap and a coat for me in the clothes shop. We buy a teddy bear for my little sister in the toy shop. Then in the fruit shop, we buy some apples, bananas and pears. We don’t need vegetables, so we don’t go to the vegetable shop. We bring our things home.

Before an earthquake (地震), many animals are strange (奇怪的). Dogs shout loudly. Horses on farms run around in circles (圆圈). Mice run away from their holes. Cows give less (更少) milk……

When an earthquake starts, the most important thing is to keep calm (平静的).Don’t run around. Find a safe (安全的) place. When you’re in the room, you can get under a table. When you’re outside, find a clear (空旷的) place away from buildings and trees. Then, protect your head and neck with your arms. This can help protect you from falling things. Stay (待) there until (直到) the earthquake stops and it’s safe to move.

Today is Sunday. I go to a shop by bike. I want to buy some gifts for my friends. I want to buy a new bag for Betty. Her bag is old. I want to buy a red toy for John. His favourite colour is red. I want to buy yellow socks for Kitty. And I want to buy a white cap for Jack. He likes caps.

Li Fei and his pen pal Jimmy both like playing sports, and they also like reading newspapers. Jimmy often reads news about Chinese festivals, because he is very interested in China. Li Fei likes science very much, so he reads news about science every week. Here are two pieces of news they read.

This is my classroom. You can see two doors and four windows. In front of(在……前面) the classroom, there is the teacher’s(老师的) desk. On it, there are three books and five pencils. Miss Wang is our English teacher. She likes(喜欢) to eat(吃) apples. She doesn’t like to eat oranges. We like her very much.
