John lives in a big city with his wife and child. It is Sunday today. John takes his blue bike out of the garage and washes it. Just then one of his friends comes to visit him. The friend looks at it for a moment. Then he says, “Nice bike. Is it yours?” “Sometimes,” John answers. The friend is surprised. “Sometimes?” he asks. “What do you mean?” John tells the friend slowly, “When there’s a party in the city, my daughter Rose uses it. When I wash it, and it looks very nice and clean, my wife uses it to go shopping. When it needs washing, it is mine.”
