Do you know the Dragon Boat Festival? It is one of the traditional (传统的) festivals celebrated in China. It fails on May 5th according to the lunar calendar(农历). This festival is to remember a great ancient (古代的) person-Qu Yuan. He was a patriotic poet(爱国诗人). His patriotism(爱国主义精神) moved(感动) people and encouraged(激励) people deeply. There are some traditional customs(传统习俗) during the Dragon Boat Festival such as eating the rice dumplings and rowing the dragon boats.
I had three days off for the festival this year. During the holidays. I learnt how to make rice dumplings with my family at home. I also watched the dragon boat races on TV. I learnt a lot an enjoyed the holidays very much. I hope you can come to China next year and spend(度过) festival with me.
