Madame Curie (居里夫人) was a world-famous woman scientist (科学家). She was born in Poland in 1867 and died in 1934.
When she was a child, she liked studying and hoped to be a scientist. She finished middle school at the age of 16. She studied in Paris when she was 24 years old. Her life was simple, but she learned very well.
It is not easy for a woman to study in science. But she was a great woman. In 1903, she won the Nobel Prize (诺贝尔奖) for Physics. And in 1911, she won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry.
