In Brazil(巴西), scissors and knives should not be presents. In Russia, giving money is disrespectful(不尊重) to people.
Chinese people receive presents with both hands and say thanks. We usually open the presents later, after the giver leaves We think its polite(礼貌) to do so. But in the west countries, its polite to open the presents in front of the givers and say thanks. You should say you really love the presents. The givers are happy to hear that.
